On Thursday, the National Football League released 2013 schedules for all 32 teams. The slate is filled with great games from top-to-bottom, but New York Jets coach Rex Ryan is not happy about one game in particular. And what makes it odd is the fact that the game doesn't even involve his own team. No, Ryan is steamed that the defending champion Baltimore Ravens will be opening up the regular season on the road against the Denver Broncos because of a scheduling conflict with Baltimore's MLB team, the Orioles. He went on a mini-rant Thursday to help prove his point.“Well, who really cares, you've got 81 at home, maybe you could have done the right thing and given one up and then played 82 on the road and then 80 at home,” Ryan said per Seth Waldman of the New York Daily-News. “I really don't think people are going to care about that game."You have a chance to have the defending world champs open up the season at home where they rightfully should. That's unfortunate."It's possible that Ryan could have some bias toward the situation, though. Ryan spent many years in Baltimore (1999-2008) serving as an assistant before taking his current position with New York.“Certainly, I can understand, if baseball only had a 16-game schedule you might understand it,” Ryan said. "But when they have 162 games, you might just [have the] common courtesy and say, you know what, maybe I'll play this one on the road or whatever.“It's not just my love of Baltimore, I do love Baltimore, but I love this New York area here better than I do Baltimore now. It's just the way it is. It's not just my loyalty to that fan base."So, there you go. I doubt Ryan will be attending many Orioles games this season.Via CBS Sports
