It was what NFL fans have want to see almost every year. The two future Hall of Famers Tom Brady and Peyton Manning engaged in a heated battle for all to see. This one should have been a runaway win for the Patriots, but some late game mistakes opened the door for a late Bronco rally. Again, the big story is the 251 rushing yards racked up by the Patriots running backs. Stevan Ridley led the group (151) but had a costly fumble that opened the door for Manning and the Broncos' one last chance. Manning nearly pulled off another fourth-quarter comeback in a career filled with them. In their 13th meeting of the two, Brady directed four scoring drives of at least 80 yards. He's 9-4 in his career against Manning. The defense came up big when it counted. Rob Ninkovich forced a Willis McGahee fumble in the red zone that ended any hope for the Broncos.
