Maybe it’s best if the Dallas Cowboys just play every game from behind. Second half collapses have become an epidemic this year and the Cowboys fell ill again this week. Up by 24 points at the beginning of the third quarter, the Cowboys’ lead would evaporate quickly after Tony Romo threw two pick-sixes on back-to-back drives during the quarter. The Cowboys seem to be playing Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde this season in that they have won both games they were behind to start the fourth quarter and lost both games where they entered the fourth quarter ahead. The biggest culprit in all this has been Dr. Romo who has become Terrible Tony in the second half of games this season. In the first half of games, Romo boasts a 110.7 QB rating having thrown four TDs and completed 68.1% of his passes with no interceptions. It’s in the second half when he transforms. In the second half of games his QB rating drops to 72.7 having thrown only three TDs to go with five picks. His completion percentage also drops to 62.0%.
