The New York Mets have been unlucky enough to be hit by the most pitches in all of baseball this year.
Intentional or not, when it happens a bunch of times, you simply get tired of it.
It led to a benches-clearing incident in St. Louis back in April.
Naturally, when it keeps happening, you’re going to have some bad blood at some point.
Yesterday, Luis Guillorme was hit by a pitch in Milwaukee, which set the all-time record of 106 hit batsmen.
As Guillorme headed to first, Mets manager Buck Showalter caught the attention of the Milwaukee Brewers’ bat boy and asked for him to toss the ball his way.

This will serve as a reminder of how many times the Mets have been hit by pitches this year.
Again, even if you know it’s not intentional, it just gets old at a certain point.
Showalter could potentially use this as something that could fire the Mets up even more as we get closer to the postseason.
It isn’t one team in particular the Mets are frustrated with.
It’s everybody.
No matter who it is, they are done being hit, and understandably so.
This really could galvanize the Mets going forward.
It may serve as a little motivation for them and a reminder that they won’t back down if and when it happens again.
Showalter sure knows how to light a fire under his team, and this is a good way for him to do it.
The Mets are ready to go for October.
They’ll also stand ready if anybody gets hit by a pitch.
Until the Mets season is over, they’ll be on high alert for things such as this.
