Matt Shaw is in the news again, That’s all I’m going to say. Chase Strumpf is calling it a career. Framber Valdez and Pete Fairbanks are in the air. The next real event is the Cubs Convention, Friday, January 16, through Sunday, January 18, 2026.

The Baby Cubs lost a lot of close games tonight, so they may be ready for the majors. The Cubs activated Iowa infielder Chase Strumpf off the injured list.
Three losses today, but a win for the I-Cubs. David Bote went on the injured list after taking a pitch in the wrist yesterday. RHP Matthew Thompson was promoted to Iowa from Tennessee, although I assume he’s taking Daniel Palencia’s spot and not Bote’s.
