Iowa powers to a game one victory, but that’s the end of the good news tonight. After two days of “everyone wins,” we’ve got an “everyone loses” day. At least Iowa also won.

The Baby Cubs lost a lot of close games tonight, so they may be ready for the majors. The Cubs activated Iowa infielder Chase Strumpf off the injured list.
Three losses today, but a win for the I-Cubs. David Bote went on the injured list after taking a pitch in the wrist yesterday. RHP Matthew Thompson was promoted to Iowa from Tennessee, although I assume he’s taking Daniel Palencia’s spot and not Bote’s.
