The Seattle Mariners claimed left-handed relief pitcher Sammy Peralta off waivers from the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday. Peralta broke into the big leagues in 2023 with the Sox at age 25.
The former top prospect is out of minor league options, so the Sox opted to designate him for assignment rather than continue to hold out hope for better results.
