The Canadian major junior hockey leagues got into full swing in October. The Washington Capitals prospects were generally loaned to their junior teams near the end of September, so most of them played in only a handful of games during September.
The Washington Capitals have signed prospect Eriks Mateiko to a three-year, entry-level contract. Mateiko was selected No. 90 overall in the 2024 NHL Draft by Washington.
