The first Montreal Canadiens prospect to crack my top 10 list is forward Logan Sawyer. Yesterday, I talked about my honourable mentions who deserved recognition but just missed out on the list, and today the list officially starts with the sophomore forward who plays for the Providence College Friars.
This past weekend, Montreal Canadiens forward prospect Logan Sawyer continued his quietly strong season at Providence College by scoring goals in back-to-back games, including an overtime winning goal on Friday to help the Providence Friars beat the Boston College Eagles 4-3.
The Montreal Canadiens have some really good forward prospects in the NCAA that get a lot of attention, such as L.J. Mooney and Michael Hage; however, there is another prospect, Logan Sawyer, who is having a great sophomore season at Providence College that seems to be going under the radar.
Obviously, the most attention-grabbing aspect of the latest National Hockey League draft for the Montreal Canadiens was the sparkling selection of Ivan Demidov.
