When Romero Osby joined the team last season he was immediately hyped as the best player on the Sooners roster. It seemed no matter who you talked to, Osby was the real deal. Unfortunately, since he transferred over fromMississippiState, he was ineligible due to NCAA transfer rules. Now, after sitting out a season however, Osby is ready to suit up and become a reputable force in the Sooner lineup.
In two exhibition games so far Osby has already proved to be an upgrade over the rebounding displayed last season, averaging 6 boards per contest. He has also been serviceable in the scoring department with 11.5 points over the two games. If this is any indication of his performance during the regular season, the Big 12 has best be put on notice.
