Sometime on Tuesday New York Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez sent a simple tweet; nothing big or dirty or vulgar. It was something that Twitter was made for really. However, when word got to Yankees GM Brian Cashman he was mad.
All A-Rod tweeted was that he had seen the doctor and was finally cleared to start playing games. Cashman took offense to him releasing this info to the world and went on a mini-rant to ESPN New York:
"You know what, when the Yankees want to announce something, (we will). Alex should just shut the ---- up. That's it. I'm going to call Alex now."
Wow. Power trip much? Maybe this is more common than fans outside of New York are aware, but it seems a little ridiculous. I get that Cashman had just stated on Monday that A-Rod had not been cleared and that the team really couldn't say when he was going to start playing games.
