I wondered today if anybody was going to be the Eric Winston of the Yankees and call out those Yankee fans who have been booing their own players. Turns out that it was one-time fan favorite Nick Swisher, who is extremely unhappy that fans not only booed him, but blamed him for Derek Jeter getting hurt. MLB.com has the story. Some will say that Swisher made a real gaffe here in telling the truth about the way some of the fans act. I applaud him for doing so.Here are some of his comments, courtesy of Bryan Hoch:“That’s the last thing that I ever thought would be in this ballpark, that people would get on you that bad. Especially your home, where your heart is, where you’ve been battling and grinding all year long. It’s just frustrating, man. You never want to be in that spot. It’s not like you’re trying to go out there and do bad on purpose. It’s just tough, man.”"It hurts. Sometimes I’m a sensitive guy and some of the things people say, man, they get under your skin a little bi...

'Sensitive' Swisher says Yankees fans blaming him for Jeter's injury

Nick Swisher is a lot of different things to a lot of different people — overrated agitator to opponents or pie-throwing cheerleader to his teammates. Nick Swisher hurt by Yankees fans criticism

The New York Yankees are currently down 2-0 to the Detroit Tigers in the American League American League Championship Series, and if anyone knows New York, it’s no secret they’re some of the most passionate fans in the world. Unfortunately, that passion can swing the pendulum two different ways. The Bronx Bombers haven’t played anything close to their best baseball against...

The Three Stooges bring about the most humiliating, frustrating and painful loss since 2004

After last night's game, I couldn't sleep. Too angry. Too frustrated. If I owned a nuclear bomb, I would have driven to New York and blown up the city. That's how mad I was. (Note to world: Never give me control of a nuclear bomb.) Finally, I drifted off to Cougar Town, clutching one thin tendril of Yankee hope:Somehow, over the winter, the Yankees get rid The Three Stooges...
