New York Yankees
Get the brooms out. After coming off what might be hist best start of the season, CC Sabathia takes the ball with hopes of sweeping away the Cleveland Indians this afternoon from the Stadium. On the offensive side, Mark Teixeira has almost single-handedly won this series for the Yankees, connecting on two homers and driving in seven through the first two games. Notoriously a slow starter, this is a good sign for Teix who was sidelined for the first couple of months with a serious wrist injury. After today’s game, the Yankees head out on the road for their first West Coast swing of the year.

New York Yankees slugger Mark Teixeira returned to the lineup with a presence crushing a grand slam to right field. However the young fan in the first row did one better, snagging the frozen rope with his Yankees ball cap than celebrating like a rock star after his accomplishment.

Sabathia is 3-1 with a 2.70 ERA in six starts against the Tribe.

Was it CC Sabathia's win on Friday? Was it the offfensive explosion by Boston on Saturday or Big Papi's home run on Sunday. Nope. It was Kate Upton in short, ripped up shorts.

While I was watching the Yankees take down the Cleveland Indians last night (thanks, in part, to that thrilling grand slam by Mark Teixeira), I filled out my first (and probably last) All Star Ballot. For some reason, I'm not "into" voting this year. In fact, I'm not into the entire All Star Game experience this year. Perhaps it's because the festivities will...

Not a badly-pitched game
A four-run third inning by Scott Kazmir was the lone blemish in eight otherwise decent innings by the Indians pitching staff. Yankees first basemen Mark Teixeira, making his way back from injury, was just 1-for-9 prior to this series with no home runs or RBI’s, but has gone 3-for-6 with two home runs (including a grand slam) and seven RBI’s since the...
