Six straight wins have lifted the Celtics three games over .500, and into 7th place in the Eastern Conference. Not ideal playoff position by many stretch, but the team has flourished since losing Rajon Rondo for the season, and it seems they've done enough to impress team President Danny Ainge. According to Ric Bucher, Ainge has taken note of the recent stretch, propelled by great play from both Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, and is looking to add a big man to help Pierce and KG out. Here's what Bucher posted on Sulia.
The Grizzlies are not done dealing, according to multiple sources -- they're just not looking to do any more
stripping. The Grizzlies are far enough under the luxury tax that they're willing to utilize at least part of their $7.5 million trade exception to add some perimeter help. Acquiring SG Courtney Lee, who Boston would consider flipping for some frontline help, was discussed but the Celtics aren't looking just to drop salary but add size. Th...

Pierce says he wants a chance to get another ring, whether in Boston or elsewhere
Paul Pierce wants no part of being part of another rebuilding team. Ideally he'd like to get a 2nd championship in Boston, but if that doesn't look likely, he's more than willing to compete for his 2nd title elsewhere. In a very open and revealing interview with the Boston Herald's Steve Bulpett, Pierce let his feelings be known.
“I want an opportunity to at least...
Jeff Green and Paul Pierce rip the heart out of the Lakers
This sequence was the highlight of the night.
If the Lakers had any hopes of coming back from a 20 point deficit, it ended with the Jeff Green dunk, block on old man Jamison and Paul Pierce 25-foot trey.
Paul Pierce would rather retire or be traded than go through another rebuild
The next three seasons were supposed to be a transitional phase for the Celtics where they would reload on the fly and start the process of becoming Rondo’s team. That all fell apart following Rondo’s ACL tear, an injury he may not fully recover from until the 2014-15 season. Management will ultimately make the decision on where the team goes from here, but Paul Pierce told the...
The House that Truth Built
In his 14 years in the league, Paul Pierce has seen it all - the ups and downs, the losing and the winning, the rise and fall. It just wouldn't be right to see the Truth and all that he's worked hard for winding down on either a rebuilding Celtics team or a contending opposing one. It just ain't right. Truth belongs to a fighting, competing ballclub right here in...
Paul Pierce questions his future with the Boston Celtics

Your Morning Dump… Where Danny Ainge explains the difference w/o Rondo
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
“We are different without him,” Ainge explained. “We’re running better now because five guys are running. Honestly, I think we rely on Rondo too much.
“For example: With Rondo out, you see Jeff Green grab...
Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce Continue to Show Why They Are Stars By Giving Celtics What Team Needs
Let’s rewind for a minute. Go back two Sundays, when the severity of Rajon Rondo‘s injury was just coming to light. If someone had told you then, as the Celtics prepared to take on the Heat and attempt to avoid their seventh straight defeat, that Rondo would suffer a season-ending knee injury and Paul Pierce would score more than 17 points just once in the next five games, what...

Lakers' win streak snapped by Celtics
BOSTON (AP) -- Paul Pierce scored 24 points and led a third-quarter surge as the Boston Celtics routed the Los Angeles Lakers 116-95 on Thursday night, improving to 6-0 since losing point guard Rajon Rondo for the season with a torn knee ligament.

Garnett And Pierce Quiet Trade Rumors, Lead Celtics To Fifth Straight Post-Rondo
Celtics 99, Raptors 95
Earlier this week Kevin Garnett responded to rumors that the Celtics core players may be traded with a simple, defiant phrase. He told reporters, “I bleed green” and in Boston’s fifth consecutive win at Toronto on Wednesday night, he proved it. Garnett posted a vintage line with 27 points and 10 rebounds in 32 minutes, while shooting an efficient 11-18...
Rajon Rondo only has partial ACL tear and may be able to return sooner than expected, timetable set for six months
News broke last night that Rajon Rondo might be able to return sooner than expected which sent Twitter into a frenzy, with some crying out for Rondo to think of the long-term implications and others dreaming of a hobbled Rondo leading his team to the NBA Finals. Shortly afterwards, Danny Ainge put a stop to any speculation that Rondo might return early: Con't.... Ainge says Rondo...

The Raptors made moves early this trade season and have a new look team led by former Memphis Grizzly, Rudy Gay. Rudy was involved...
NBA's two hottest teams set to square off at the Garden Sunday
To call this "unexpected" would be an understatement.
The Denver Nuggets beat Cleveland 111-103 on Saturday night for their 9th consecutive victory. It's the longest current win streak in the NBA. The owners of the league's 2nd best streak at the moment? Your Boston Celtics, winners of 6 in a row. Somebody's run will come to and when Boston and Denver...
