Wayne Rooney will not be allowed to join one of Manchester United’s rivals for the Premier League title.Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea and fellow Londoners, Arsenal have both had offers for the England striker rejected after United boss David Moyes insisted that Rooney is not available at any price. But a socer source says that United will sell Rooney, but only to Teams abroad, United do not want Rooney to come back to haunt them by strengthening another team in the Premier League.Despite Moyes’ claim that he wants to keep Rooney, his reluctance to give assurances that he will not employ the player in his favourite central striking role has not been well received by the United No.10.Old Trafford vice-chairman Ed Woodward has said there are no plans to offer the £250,000-a-week striker a new contract.And, with just two years left on his current deal, United know his value will now begin to fall.Chelsea are ready to make a second bid for Rooney at £30m – which would give United a £5m profit on what they paid Everton nine years ago.But United are ­desperate to send Rooney abroad. Real Madrid have been linked with the former Everton forward, but the Spanish giants are ­currently focusing their attention on Gareth Bale.
