Tigers Designate Andre Granillo For Assignment

The Tigers announced that they have selected the contract of outfielder Max Clark, as move that was reported earlier this week. Fellow outfielder Matt Vierling has been placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to July 30, with a left adductor strain.

The Tigers announced that right-hander Andre Granillo was claimed off the Nationals’ waiver wire.  Granillo has been optioned to Triple-A Toledo, and no other transaction was required since Detroit had an open space on its 40-man roster.
