Yesterday morning, Lou Lamoriello announced to the media that Anthony Duclair’s injury would be “more long-term than short-term.” Since then, the New York Islanders successfully waived and sent Julien Gauthier to Bridgeport and recalled summer signing Liam Foudy.
The NHL began awarding the Conn Smythe Trophy to the most valuable player of the postseason beginning in the 1965 season. How many of the past winners can you name in six minutes?
Took me three days to come up with that joke that somebody else probably already made. Please clap. Fresh body, fresh thread. We have officially entered the dead of the offseason; there is very little news to report about our New York Islanders.
The New York Islanders announced they have signed 2018 first-round pick, Liam Foudy to a one-year, $775,000 contract. Foudy spent the 2023-24 campaign split between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Nashville Predators.
The Nashville Predators placed Liam Foudy on waivers and returned Mark Jankowski to the AHL. Foudy has appeared in 12 games with Nashville this season, while Jankowski slotted into the team’s last two games.
The Preds faced off against the New York Rangers this afternoon, in an attempt to rebound from a disappointing game against Minnesota on Thursday. While their on-ice play was largely good, their results weren’t what they must have hoped for.
