I have to admit that I have never seen a commercial for a high school hockey game.  Then again, hockey doesn’t get the natural publicity that high school hoops and football does, so players need to promote themselves to get others besides their immediate family at games.  Clarkston (MI) High School, about 40 minutes from Detroit, shot a pretty entertaining commercial to promote their Jan. 26 game against rival Lake Orion.

Yes, the game has been over for weeks and yes, the kid in the video is wearing a St. Louis Blues jersey (why? I don’t know), but this is very well done.

Goodell hints at NFL team in London before Los Angeles

I want to thank NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for that uproarious #AskCommish thing on Twitter yesterday. That was 30 minutes of the best social media entertainment you will ever see. But, did Goodell use the event to lever Los Angeles to pony-up for a new stadium by dropping hints about a NFL franchise in London? "@bArNyZ When will LA have NFL team again? #askcommish"...

George denies rumors about girlfriend issues with Hibbert

Paul George broke one of the LBS cardinal rules by going on Instagram Tuesday to squash a rumor about him and Roy Hibbert having girl trouble. And what rule is that? Never ever address a rumor, because that just gives us a reason to write up a story we would ordinarily ignore. Let’s start with […]
