(Sewell is, coincidentally, number 22 in the black Ridgeway jersey)

There are always going to be those guys who sit around and talk about the “what ifs” and the “what could have beens” of when they played high school sports. But really there’s not much they can do about it—or so I thought.

Apparently, a 22-year-old man in Memphis, Tenn., posed as a student at Ridgeway High School so he could play basketball.

According to a report from Dime Magazine, 6-foot-6 McKinzie Sewell got his wife to sign papers saying she was his guardian, and she helped him forge phony transcripts.

Sewell is a former gang member, according to a report WREG in Memphis. Sewell also has a GED from the state of Louisiana and it seems like his sole purpose of returning to high school was to play basketball.

Now, the Ridgeway basketball team has been ruled ineligible for the state playoffs, despite being just one game away. Even worse, it’s because a player who played marginal minutes off the bench lied about his age.

  • A grown man playing against young boys???I hope this clown is prosecuted for what he has done to the young boys on that team. He stole their season. He stole their reputation. He stole their hard work.

I am surprised the school did not figure this out sooner.

22 years old and in high school. Was he an honor roll student or just another dumb ass who can dribble to the left?

Jameis Winston's best legal option is to drop out of FSU?

With Jameis Winston facing a disciplinary hearing for his 2012 rape allegations, the best course of action may be to drop out of Florida State University to avoid any further prosecution from school officials. The school reportedly informed Winston this past week that he will face a school disciplinary hearing that he raped a fellow student. Winston has avoided any finding of fault...

Texas A&M fans leave Kyle Field early during home loss

Texas A&M broke some attendance records tonight at Kyle Field, but unfortunately for the Aggies, not all of those fans stayed to see four quarters of action Saturday night.
