We have seen moments like this before, but it never gets old. Mitchell Marcus, a special-needs student at Coronado High School, was inserted into the final regular season game while the team held a 10-point lead late in the 4th quarter. Mitchell has served as the team’s manager for the past four seasons, and this was senior night. He was allowed to suit up for the first time, and when he had an opportunity to enter the game, the team did everything they could to get him a basket before it was over. The moment became even more special when the opposing team, which had the ball out-of-bounds with 13 seconds, passed it to Mitchell who laid it in just before the buzzer went off. It’s important to note, these teams are rivals. Moments like this are awesome, and show that sportsmanship still exists. H/T El Paso Times
