In the fourth round while throwing a punch, “The Korean Zombie” blew out his surgically repaired shoulder and the champion capitalized as Jose Aldo retained his UFC featherweight champion by fourth round TKO.
The first three rounds went at an unusual pace considering the styles of each guy. The champion relied on his wrestling and took down Jung at will, while Jung looked tentative.
Aldo has now won 16 fights in a row and is now the second longest reigning champion in the UFC behind welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre.
In what ended up being the most talked about fight of the night, Phil Davis defeated Lyoto Machida by unanimous decision in a very close fight.
