Luke Prokop was a very popular player in his time in the WHL, and now as he returns to Western Canada, he's pledged to make one big, exciting change to his game.
On Tuesday (Aug. 12), the Bakersfield Condors signed four players to one-year, two-way American Hockey League (AHL) contracts for the 2025-26 season. Joining the AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers are forwards Matt Brown and Trevor Janicke, as well as defencemen Mats Lindgren and Luke Prokop.

Luke Prokop says there was one message that stood out when he came out as gay back in 2021. Prokop joined 'The Players Own Voice' on Tuesday and looked back on the day he came out.
Prokop said he has received support "behind the scenes" from other members of the NHL including commissioner Gary Bettman and that he believes coming out publicly will allow him to grow into a better hockey player.
