The Pittsburgh Steelers might make an interesting move ahead of the trade deadline.

With the Steelers having Kenny Pickett and Mitchell Trubisky as their QBs, Mason Rudolph becomes the odd man out.

While the Steelers lost Pickett to the concussion protocol last Sunday, they still might trade Rudolph.

This story is coming from one NFL analyst, who feels the Steelers have a trade partner for him.

So who’s the trade partner, and what will the Steelers get according to this one analyst?

NFL Analyst Predicts Steelers Trade Rudolph To Commanders

According to Cody Benjamin, the Steelers might trade Rudolph to the Commanders for William Jackson.

While the Steelers have one of the best safeties in Minkah Fitzpatrick, adding Jackson gives him help.

Jackson is a corner who’s a former first-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals.

However, Jackson’s struggles in Washington, along with the team’s need for a QB, give the Steelers a shot to trade for him.

While the struggles of Jackson got him benched once this season, a back injury might play into his struggles.

So is it worth trading Rudolph to Washington for Jackson?

Jackson Might Be A Bad Investment For 2022

If the Steelers are looking for a player to affect their 2022 season, Jackson doesn’t fit the bill.

He’s committing too many penalties and is allowing too many big plays when in coverage.

Out of 17 targets, he allowed 14 completions for 199 yards and two touchdowns.

With his back issue, and issues covering receivers, the Steelers won’t get help from him in 2022.

However, he might be a solid piece for the Steelers’ 2023 defense.
