Cardinals sign ex-Broncos running back to practice squad

The Arizona Cardinals have signed former Denver Broncos running back Tony Jones to their practice squad, the team announced Wednesday. Jones (5-11, 224 pounds) played under coach Sean Payton with the New Orleans Saints from 2020-2021 before leaving to join the Seattle Seahawks in 2022.

The Arizona Cardinals officially released RB Tony Jones from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Friday, per the NFL Transactions wire.  Jones, 26, went undrafted out of Notre Dame in 2020 and caught on with the Saints.
