The Michigan football team picked up an intriguing transfer portal commitment on Saturday as UMass running back CJ Hester committed to the Wolverines. Michigan did recently lose RB Benjamin Hall to the college football transfer portal, and he needed to be replaced.
The Michigan Wolverines are expected to be active in the spring transfer portal window. And with the loss of promising running back Benjamin Hall to the portal this week, Michigan is set to host UMass running back transfer CJ Hester.
Running back CJ Hester will the transfer portal, per 247Sports' Matt Zenitz. He's coming off a career year, running for 529 yards and four touchdowns. Hester, a former three-star prospect per 247Sports, received seven offers coming out of Cincinnati's Wyoming High School in 2023.
