Marvel is entering a new phase of movies with new characters and new storylines. Fans are excited about the Multiverse saga, which will introduce them to alternative realities. But in a surprising turn of events, Marvel decided to pause the new projects to focus solely on the Multiverse saga.
The unusual move has sent the fans into both dilemma and excitement about what the franchise is planning ahead for the future of MCU. While the Multiverse saga is already a difficult phase to tackle, Marvel’s sole focus on it has further heightened the stakes.
Marvel Is Prioritizing The Multiverse Saga Over Everything
According to Marvel insider Daniel Richtman, the production house has put all other projects on pause to focus on the Multiverse Saga. The Multiverse Saga is reported to conclude in 2027 with ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’.
Sources also claim that the MCU is currently looking to wrap up the ambitious saga and ensure better storytelling. The Multiverse Saga has introduced a wide array of characters and narratives making a progressive success for the franchise. It would be interesting to see what special and unique movies MCU is planning on.
It’s also reported that only ‘Spiderman 4′ and another untitled film will be released and the rest all the projects are kept on hold until the ‘Secret Wars’ is completed. Upcoming MCU projects include ‘Captian America: Brave New World’, ‘Fantastic Four’, and ‘Avengers: The Kang dynasty’ among others.
“A Smart Move”: Internet Has A Mixed Reaction To Marvel’s Move
Fans had a mixed reaction to the news of a pause all projects other than the Multiverse Saga. While some are excited that Marvel is focusing solely on one and seemingly the most storyline, others are taken aback that they won’t be able to see their beloved characters for a while.
Their favorite titles were anticipated, would be delayed for a while which would also affect the overall timeline of the MCU.
We really haven’t seen that many incursions happen at all, so it’s really weird that we are already gonna see the “final” incursion.

They really want to bring the Mutant Saga in. I think the Multiverse Saga was a really disappointing one but hopefully they’ll bounce back in the Mutant Saga

The multiverse saga is a fine idea, but the execution of it is hard because of IPs like Spider-Man being shared and then such an expensive universe. Instead of writing stories for a character, you're writing stories for a character with other variant characters who you have to…

As Marvel is navigating this new transition, fans are eager to see what the production house bring to the table. It would also be interesting to see if Marvel will be able to conclude the Multiverse Saga the way fans expect.
