FIGHT: Chargers and Raiders Fans Get Into Scary Brawl- Week 4
Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

As we know, the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders rivalry is one of the most classic rivalries in the NFL. Between the players and fans, there is always bad blood between the two organizations which always leads to the fan bases fighting each other physically and verbally. This fight happened in the stands right behind the end zone, leading to a Chargers fan knocking down a Raiders fan after connecting on a massive haymaker.

More Chargers vs. Raiders Fights

From the looks of it, the fans were talking trash to each other about something, and it led to the Chargers fans punching the Raiders fan in the face, which caused him to take a brutal fall onto the concrete staircase. This is not the only time these fan bases have gotten into an altercation. After the same game, it looked as if Raiders fans were fighting each other. Just outside the stadium, a man looks to be lying on the ground in pain from what is rumored to be a stabbing.

Know the Rivalry

These fans are always passionate about beating the other, but there comes a point when trash-talking goes too far, and this is the perfect example. Hopefully, the man is doing better and he has gotten the help that he needed.

The Chargers and Raiders rivalry dates back to 1978, when the Raiders beat the Chargers in San Diego by a controversial fumblerooski play now known as the Holly Roller. The loss contributed to the Chargers missing the playoffs that year and sparked an NFL rule change.

Since that day, the fan bases have had nothing but hatred towards each other and has led to some pretty serious altercations not just between fans, but players as well. In the same game, Raiders defender Jerry Tillery, who is a former Charger, blatantly took down Justin Herbert when he was already out of bounds, causing the benches to clear which ultimately led to Tillery’s ejection.

Both of these teams will face off against each other once again on December 14th in Las Vegas. Make sure to grab some popcorn and watch everything go down, especially with the Raiders seeking revenge for their 24-17 loss in week four.
