The Tennessee Titans need to address the offensive line, especially the interior, after releasing center Lloyd Cushenberry III , and with right guard Kevin Zeitler still unsigned. The Titans signed center Austin Schlottmann and guard Cordell Volson. Schlottmann, the projected starting center, is a career backup with 18 starts through seven seasons, and Volson, the projected starting right guard, who started 48 games at left guard for the Cincinnati Bengals, missed the entire 2025 season due to a shoulder injury that required surgery.

Tennessee Titans host versatile offensive lineman

According to Justin Melo of Sports Illustrated,  the Titans have hosted Kentucky Wildcats offensive lineman Jager Burton for a 30-visit. Burton is a versatile blocker capable of playing all three interior offensive line positions, having logged over 1,100 snaps at left guard, 900 at center, and 500 at right guard, and starting 47 games in college. He is currently projected as a mid- to late-round pick, but could be selected higher than the consensus.

Here’s a quick review of his 2025 campaign

Jager Burton moved to full-time center in 2025 after spending 2024 at left guard, 2023 at center and right guard, 2022 at left guard, and 2021 at right guard. He enjoyed a strong redshirt senior, allowing just nine pressures and 1.5 sacks across 12 games and 830 snaps. Burton also totaled 23 knockdown/pancake blocks, posted a 98% assignment grade, and an 85% technique grade.

Here’s Lance Zierlein’s scouting report

“Durable fifth-year senior who has made 47 consecutive starts. Burton is built to play center but could offer swing potential at guard. He has adequate play strength and good quickness for a zone-blocking scheme.

“He gets beaten to first contact by length and will struggle to put up a sustained fight against two-gappers at the point. He can slow a bull rush but needs to do a better job of protecting his edges and operating with consistent posture. Burton’s best fit will be with a zone-heavy running game as a late draft pick or undrafted free agent signee.”

He projects as an average backup or special teamer.
