Montrezl Harrell is considered a genuine “50-50” to opt into his $9.7 million player option, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, though if he opts in, the center could then be traded.

Harrell has been discussed in trades talks with the Kings, along with Kyle Kuzma and the 22nd overall pick, in a potential deal that would send Buddy Hield to the Lakers.

If the Kings acquire Harrell, that could mean unrestricted free agent to be Richaun Holmes might be on the move. The Mavericks, Hornets, and Raptors have all interest in Holmes, per Scotto.

• The Timberwolves have made Jarrett Culver available in trade talks and it’s possible could be had for a second-round pick, according to Darren Wolfson of Skor North. Culver was the sixth overall pick in 2019, and Wolfson notes that he’s a hard worker, but just hasn’t worked with the Timberwolves.

• The Knicks tried to package their 19th and 21st picks to the Pelicans for their 10th pick before the Pelicans traded that selection to the Grizzlies, according to Scotto. Scotto also relays that the Knicks are looking at Oregon guard Chris Duarte, who won the Jerry West Award as the nation’s top shooting guard.

• The Sixers are a team to watch if Eric Bledsoe agrees to a buy-out with the Grizzlies, according to our own Chris Crouse. Bledsoe arrived in Memphis as part of the multi-player trade that brought the No. 10 overall pick to the franchise.

• Restricted free agent Gary Trent Jr. could command $18-$20 million annually, according to Scotto (same aforementioned piece). Trent Jr. averaged 16.2 points in 17 games with the Raptors after being acquired from the Trail Blazers in the Norman Powell deal.
