Colin Kaepernick showcased his skills for NFL scouts on Saturday and had a clear message for them afterward.
Kaepernick threw as scheduled at halftime of the Michigan spring game, doing so at the invitation of Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh. After his workout, he told NFL teams he can “help make you a better team.”

He said he can absolutely still play in the NFL. I asked what is your message to NFL teams: "I can help make you a better team. I can help you win games." pic.twitter.com/rUQTG562D7

For what it’s worth, Kaepernick looked sharp, at least on his final pass of the afternoon.

It’s now up to the NFL whether or not they agree with Kaepernick’s assertion. The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback has reportedly suggested that he’d accept a backup role. That is probably a necessity since he hasn’t taken an NFL snap since 2016. Perhaps a few teams will take a look after his Saturday showcase.
