Huascar Brazoban gave up a three-run homer in the seventh inning and the Mets fell to the Angels, 5-4, Saturday night in Anaheim. The Mets had just taken a 4-2 lead, thanks to a grand slam by J.D.
The New York Mets made six moves ahead of the MLB trade deadline. The last one was for relief pitcher Huascar Brazoban from the Miami Marlins, according to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal.
The trade deadline is now over and the New York Mets were able to upgrade their bullpen with some additional high-upside moves on Tuesday. The Mets' final trade before 6 p.m.
The Mets continue to make moves on the margins, as they acquired reliever Huascar Brazobán from the Marlins. Brazoban has appeared in 97 games for the Marlins over the past three years and has posted a 3.56 ERA in 121.1 IP.
Edwards, acquired from the Rays a couple years ago, has yet to make his season debut. He opened the season on the IL after battling a foot infection during spring training.
