The Denver Broncos have signed former Packers wide receiver Samori Toure to the practice squad, ahead of flying to London for next week’s game against the New York Jets.
Toure, 27, was originally chosen by the Packers in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft and has caught 13 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown while appearing in 22 games for Green Bay during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
The Broncos are coming off a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, where Bo Nix and the offense took over the game over the final quarter, rattling off 18 unanswered points to log a comeback victory to improve to 3-2 on the season and pull into a tie with the Los Angeles Chargers atop the AFC West.
Toure spent last offseason and this spring and summer with the Chicago Bears before getting released at the end of training camnp, and now will have the chance to latch onto a receiving corps that’s toploaded with talent including Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, and Marvin Mims Jr., but could play his way onto the active roster and into quality snaps on offense if he impresses in the weeks to come.
